"Auto-consumption" is linked to "self-production" - producing energy for own consumption. This is developing in a context where the costs of installations for producing renewable electricity are falling and electricity prices are rising.

This is particulary true in the photovoltaic sector, which has few installation constraints and where energy production cost fell sharply these last years.
